Tonight was my dance class, and man I can tell I’ve been slacking off. Although I almost touched my toes tonight. (Yes, sadly I have to work to touch my toes. Normally I’m about 8 inches away-tight hamstrings) I just felt like a doll in slow motion. Now, though I love bellydance I do not like to sweat. I have a strong sense of laziness, which is why I take a class where I will be forced to keep up. I find that even though I have fun, I still clock watch. Lazy! But I am of course glad I went.
Afterwards, I was soo hungry I went to this great little restaurant, Pelmeni, where all they sell are Russian dumplings. You can get potato or beef. And you can have them with butter or have them spicy. That’s it! I got potato–spicy, no red sauce, ‘cos I love the cilantro. And there’s free sour cream. So pretty much whatever calories I burned off I packed back on with little dumplings.
I have worked my way up to eating most solid foods, but my mouth still tastes funny to me. I looked in there, and I can see the little sutured folds of flesh where my teeth used to me. Still not comfortable with crunchy foods though, so my honeycrisp apples are still waiting for me. Mmm, honeycrisp. Almost best apple, although I think it’s tied with Pink Lady.
