I love having a girl

So earlier today, Rowan got her flu shot.  She was a trooper!  The needle went in and she said, “Ow. . .” with a confused look on her face, and that was it.  Whew!

When she got home, she of course took her clothes off.  Rowan loves to be in her undies, or naked, or maybe a shirt and undies.  That’s fine, I think she should be free while she can, plus there is almost nothing more beautiful than a naked child, although a naked woman can vie for that place too.  (That’s the artist in me coming out)

But when she took her pants off, there was the bandaid, which was stuck to her skin.  Easy enough, I gave her a bath to wash her hair and take it off.  Afterwards, I combed her hair.  Her hair is a lot easier to comb now that it’s shorter, but it still takes too long for her.  Plus we go to swim lessons every week, and the chlorine is not too good for her hair either.  After I was done, she wanted to be the mom and comb my hair.  That is the best feeling!  Unfortunately, she likes to spray in detangler (because that’s part of the process), so now my hair is full of J & J’s No More Tears, but it was worth it.  What is it about having your hair brushed?  She can play mom anytime!

  1. You bring up a really good point, and I think we should put this to rest by comparing naked children and naked women. This is one of those questions that *must* be answered for the benefit of humanity. 🙂
